A high GMAT score can make your application highly competitive or
at least not being eliminated in the first review. Then, what is
a high GMAT score? Again, it varies from school to school. A score
of 700 is considered high for a second-tier program, such as Penn
State University, but is just the average for Stern MBA program
at New York University.
However, it is not wise if you rely solely on your GMAT scores to
determine where to apply, or where no to apply. GMAT scores are
as only one of several factors of your performance.
Our advice is that you choose MBA program based on your interest
(or so-called fit), not your GMAT score.
